Senior Financial Analyst, IT – Temp to Perm (Remote)
The Senior Financial Analyst assists with coordinating, planning and driving monthly forecasting, reporting, annual budgeting, analysis and business case modeling for the Company. The individual will be responsible for structuring and conducting analysis leading to actionable insights, improved forecasting and budgeting accuracy and quantitative decision support for the company’s Information Technology function led by the Chief Digital Officer. This role will be responsible for examining large sets of data and financial information to support sound financial and business recommendations for both ongoing operations and transformative technology initiatives. This role may also extend to include reporting that can be used for executive leadership meetings, Board of Director meetings, and exhibit information within the Company’s financial statements.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of long-range planning and annual budgeting processes by developing models, analyzing operating results and designing/creating executive-level materials for presentation. Communicate and engage cross-functionally to ensure comprehensive plan and budget tied to strategy including strategic initiatives.
- Analyzes actual and budgeted figures on an ongoing basis. Maintains detailed planning & budgeting templates.
- Reviews monthly financial operating results for function reporting, including identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. Works with other cross functional teams for account reconciliation.
- Manage on-going monthly performance and metric reporting.
- Assist with the monthly forecasting process by consolidating inputs, tracking variances and identifying key drivers of change and opportunities to improve accuracy and process.
- Performs moderate to complex financial analysis including researching, identifying, and running various scenarios and interpreting financial impacts. Measure financial results against budget and forecast.
- Develops complex financial models to support management decision-making related to new opportunities, capital investments, revenue models, profit margin analysis, and impact of regulatory changes. Defines financial requirements for new products and features.
- Analyzes and summarizes financial statements, expenses, and records.
- Provides information and develops recommendations to support decision making regarding capital expenditures, purchases, and other costs of doing business.
- Provide support for request for proposal (RFP) questions related to new business or a variety of different programs. Responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy of information provided to RFP questions.
- Performs ad hoc research and analysis for internal stakeholders on financials and function performance.
- Assess analytical tools and various formats of data availability, research and build new reports/tools that allow for various functions/segments within the function to be utilized in financial modeling analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required)
- MBA with emphasis in Finance or Analytics (Preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience in a public company and/or large private company
- Experience with VBA or SQL for pulling and manipulating very large data sets
- Experience with Power BI is a plus
- Experience with financial analysis, key performance indicators, budgeting, planning, performance improvement initiatives, new business pro-forma modeling
- Advanced experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial modeling, trend analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis skills, ideally with experience or interest in automation
- Hands-on, strong grasp of corporate or business unit financial concepts and tools, inclusive of financial
- Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
- Experience using computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications
