Vice President Client Services - REMOTE

We are seeking a highly dynamic & talented Vice President (VP) of Client Services that will require a solid command of all business management functions.  Proven track record of holding a team accountable, motivating and leading a team.  This position is responsible for overseeing the P&L and managing the business operations function globally within the organization.  The Vice President of Client Services leads a team who manages a portfolio of clients, as well as the functional teams (including field and internal operations), focused on managing client results, contracts, pricing, profitability and overall execution of program goals. Pivotal role in the design and management of client programs/contracts at retail chains nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Client Services team, to ensure that client business plans, retail chain coverage, and field execution is top notch and exceeds client expectations.
  • Oversee management of staff priorities, workload balancing/utilization, employee recognition/rewards, and routine staff professional development to keep turnover at a minimum and staff morale high.
  • Build processes and infrastructure to enable scalable, profitable growth. Build out plans for staffing, logistics management, and execution.
  • Develop and implement business operating plans which formally identify additional business opportunities and specific ways to strengthen our service delivery with our clients.
  • Develop and manage client P&L versus budget; manage client revenue and gross margin forecasts; identify, plan and budget headcount and expenses required to meet growth plans.
  • Strategize and drive formal client program reviews; manage to all client/contract expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred in Business Management, Marketing Services
  • 10+ years of experience in sales & marketing, consumer packaged goods, food brokerage, Brand Management, Customer Management, Category Management, Retailer Marketing and Shopper Marketing. Experience managing a P&L, budgeting and forecasting and managing client expectations either personally or through a team
  • Excellent sales presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Working knowledge of syndicated data
  • Ability to exude/gain confidence & trust with clients and internal staff; Experience and comfort in client entertaining and interaction; Strong presentation skills
